Q : What’s the catch?
A : There is no catch! There are no advertisements to listen to, no quality issues, no hidden fees, no contracts, no purchases required, no privacy problems, no limitations or restrictions, and no surprises.
Q : What denominations does FaithOnCall cater to?
A : FaithOnCall is free from bias and offers this service to any denomination that wishes to use it. Any of the sentiments expressed by any of the Pastors using our service are not our own and are in no way influenced by us. FaithOnCall is not affiliated with the views expressed within services.
Q : For Parishioners - How do I use the service once I have already registered?
A : Click on the "Congregation Locator" page or check in with your Church to get their teleconferencing numbers. Dial in to the service a minute or two before it starts using the dial-in number provided. When prompted, enter the access code. If your Pastor has already started the service, then you will hear the service. If not, then you will be placed on music hold until it begins.
Q : For Parishioners - Do all Pastors use the same Dial-in Number and Access code?
A : No. Pastors have different sets of numbers. You can find these on the "Congregation Locator" page.
Q : For Parishioners - What happens if I dial in to a call, but my Pastor has not connected yet?
A : You will be placed on music hold. Once your Pastor dials in and the service begins, you will be automatically connected through and you will hear the service live.
Q : For Parishioners - What happens if I don’t see a particular Pastor that I am interested in listening to listed on your site?
A : If you don’t see a Pastor listed on our site, it means that they have not subscribed to our service yet. Feel free to let them know about us and we will gladly work with them to get them signed up.
Q : For Parishioners - What does it cost to use FaithOnCall?
A : If your Church has selected to use the "Toll Free Plan", then there is no cost to you. If your Church has selected to use the "Direct Dial Plan", the cost to you is the cost your telephone carrier charges you for long distance calling. If you have a plan that provides you with unlimited long distance calling, then there is no cost to you.
Q : For Parishioners - Can I use a calling card to call in?
A : Yes!
Q : Can international callers participate?
A : Yes. International callers are required to dial the international Dial-in number though.
Q : For Pastors - How many callers can be in a single conference call?
A : The maximum is 100 callers and there is no required minimum number of callers.
Q : For Pastors - How do I set up a conference call
A : Notify your parishioners of the days and times you will be offering FaithOnCall's service. Provide them with the dial-in number and access code. At the scheduled time of the conference call, everyone dials in and once connected the conference call begins.
Q : For Pastors - Can I get a recording of my calls to use as podcasts?
A : All your calls will be automatically recorded and the file will be emailed to you. Recordings are available as a WAV file, an RSS feed, and in podcast formats
Q : For Pastors- Is there a limit on the length of a conference call?
A : 6 hours per conference call, including recording, and there is no limit on how many hours you wish to conference each month.
Q : For Pastors - Is there a limit on how many conference calls I can make?
A : No, you may make an unlimited number of conference calls and have an unlimited number of accounts if you feel it necessary.
Q : Is this a VoIP service or an Internet service using my computer?
A : No. This is a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) conferencing service that utilizes your regular telephone.
